I read an article today that covered the issues I’ve thought about quite a bit lately when it comes to all the messages I willingly sign up for that land in my inbox. It’s comforting to know I am not alone about some of the things that drive me crazy about business mailings.
I’m not as mad as hell as the author of this article is, but I do wonder why these issues are still necessary to point out — they all seem like common sense things to NOT do. And, it is usually one or more of these things that cause me to unsubscribe sooner than later.
I guess if I were to choose one point out of all those mentioned it would be about too many mailings. E-mail me too much and not have a focused and relevant message and I jump for unsubscribe — I just don’t have the time. I’d rather not hear from you than have you e-mail me because you think you should on a specified schedule.
Check this article out and see if your business mailings are guilty of any of these mistakes. And, if you are, time for some change!
