What is the big deal about integrating Business E-mail Etiquette into daily e-mail activities? It takes very little effort and once one goes through my site and at the very least my Business E-mail Etiquette 101 they then know what to do and consider and it’s simple to apply.
Practicing “BEE”, just as most things in life, is a choice. You can choose to disregard all kinds of information because you don’t want to make the effort or feel it isn’t necessary — that is your choice too.
What I don’t get is why wouldn’t a anyone choose to e-mail properly when the success of their business literally hinges on their ability to communicate efficiently, succinctly and professionally via e-mail? Still there will be those who blow-off this info that then shouldn’t be upset if:
- Business E-mails are not taken as seriously.
- Job inquiries are not considered.
- Formatting choices land e-mails in the trash or blocked by spam filters.
- Formatting choices can cause words to be over emphasized leading to unnecessary misunderstandings.
- E-mails may be perceived as demanding and/or terse.
- Risk being viewed as lacking tech savvy or unprofessional.
- E-mails get deleted because they are not viewed as legitimate or worth responding to.
These are just a few of the negative results that ignoring or disregarding Business E-mail Etiquette can cause. “>Isn’t your business worth a little “BEE”?
